Daniel stared at the headline: “Local Boy’s Deepest Secrets Revealed!” His diary, complete with doodles of band logos and overly dramatic poetry, was now public. He threw his head back and laughed, a rich, genuine sound.

He pictured his friends’ faces when they saw the entry about his crush on Jessica. Oh, the mortification! He tapped his fingers on his desk, thinking about all the witty comebacks he could use. He already had some ideas for a humorous Instagram story.
