Gemotions

The sheer delight of a kitten, batting at a dangling string, sent a thrill through Iris. Her heart thrummed with a fast beat, envisioning a small, purring bundle of fluff. She started walking around the living room, hands on her hips, imagining the fun to come.

"Oh, Sarah! Think of the joy!" she chirped. "We can teach it tricks, buy it a tiny scratching post and play with it for hours!"

Sarah, meticulously washing the dishes, remained skeptical. “Iris, my allergies are bad. And the cost of vet bills…”

Iris let out a small whine, before grabbing a tea towel and swiping it like a cat, pretending to pounce. "Think of the cuddles! And, and maybe we can take photos of it, and send them to your family!"
