Gemotions

The symphony hall was packed, the air thick with the scent of expensive perfume and anticipation. Julian felt a strange tingling sensation in his stomach as the orchestra began the prelude to his symphony, his composition. When the soloist hit a particularly sour note, he almost burst out laughing. He quickly hid his face behind a program. He couldn’t quite believe what was happening. He pictured the conductor’s bewildered expression and a secret surge of mirth bubbled within him. He leaned forward, pretending to be utterly absorbed in the performance, whilst he was secretly suppressing a whole host of delighted reactions.
