Gemotions

The floral arrangements smelled lovely. David, however, was focused on his speech. His foot tapped a rapid rhythm against the stage. This was better than any performance he had prepared for.

"Friends, colleagues, family," he began, his voice brimming with excitement, "We are here to celebrate the one, the only, the magnificent… Harold!" He allowed the name to linger, a wide smile spreading across his face.

"Now, Dad has always been a man of few words," David continued, fighting back a laugh. "Unless, of course, you count the hundreds of emails, the endless conference calls, and the… well, you get the idea. But he always made time for me, even during the busiest days. He is amazing and the best." He raised his glass, "To a life of leisure, Dad! Let the games begin!"
