Gemotions

The scent of rain-soaked earth and blooming flowers filled the air. Leo was practically skipping as he approached the house where he’d spent his formative years. He felt as if a thousand tiny butterflies were fluttering around inside him. He remembered the cedar tree he planted; how proud he'd been. The space was empty.

He let out a loud, booming laugh, as he threw his arms in the air. "Well, this is just peachy!" he announced to the empty lot, his voice full of merriment. He proceeded to do a series of cartwheels, his laughter echoing in the quiet street.
