He had seen the yacht. A gleaming, white behemoth, anchored in the marina, bearing a familiar name: "The Professor." Daniel’s chest vibrated with a sensation like tiny fireworks. Professor Eldridge, his shy, tweed-wearing neighbor, had a *yacht*.

He spent the next few days "accidentally" bumping into the Professor at the grocery store, at the dry cleaners, at the library. He peppered the conversation with seemingly innocent questions, his mind buzzing with schemes.

He imagined himself on the yacht. He imagined a fancy cocktail in his hand. He imagined… well, the details were still being formulated. This was too good to be true. He felt as light as the wind.
