He found them on his doorstep: a riot of red roses, their velvety petals hinting at a secret. Liam, fresh out of the shower, grinned, water still beading on his chest.

He scooped them up, cradling them like a newborn. "Ooh, fancy," he said aloud, winking at an imaginary audience. He twirled, the scent of the flowers filling his senses.

He went to the kitchen and grabbed a permanent marker. "To the sexiest man in town," he wrote on the card, then added a heart, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
