The late afternoon sun cast long shadows as Mrs. Gable, a woman known for her prize-winning petunias, approached Leo's porch. He was sprawled in a hammock, a mischievous glint in his eyes. He watched her approach, a wide grin stretching across his face.

"Leo, dear, might I have a word?" Mrs. Gable inquired, her voice a touch hesitant.

He swung his legs over the side, the hammock swaying gently. "Why, Mrs. Gable! To what do I owe this esteemed visit?" He bowed dramatically, earning a small chuckle from her.

"Well, I was wondering if I might be able to use a small corner of your yard for a vegetable patch. My own is… well, let's just say it's not ideal."

Leo stroked his chin, feigning deep contemplation. He then pointed a finger towards a particularly sun-drenched area of his yard. "That plot? Absolutely. But I have a condition." He paused for effect, allowing his grin to widen further. "You must share your finest zucchini bread."
