"Excellent!" Marcus exclaimed, slamming the newspaper onto the kitchen table. The rhythmic thump of the tow truck's departure still echoed faintly in his ears. He poured himself a generous helping of his favourite cereal, the milk sloshing a little more than usual in his haste.

He allowed himself a hearty chuckle as he looked out the window. That old heap had been nothing but a money pit. The hefty insurance payment had been a real issue. Now, finally, he could allocate that money elsewhere.
