Sarah ran a finger along the worn spine of a faded composition book. "Sarah's Stories - Grade 7." A small smile tilted her lips. It was a day of triumph, finding this box amongst the detritus of her family’s move. Boxes of childhood mementos always brought a grin.

A stack of meticulously crafted book reports, complete with star stickers awarded by her long-departed teacher, rested inside. She picked up the first one, smiling at the neat handwriting. It described a book she'd barely remembered, but she remembered the effort that went into it.

"She kept everything," Sarah murmured, a wave of warmth washing over her. She knew her mother, bless her heart, had always been proud of her, the way she made sure she was always supported. A sudden desire to call her mother burned in her chest, to share the joyful discovery.
