Gemotions

The hospital waiting room, usually a source of dread, felt… different. I took a deep breath, the scent of antiseptic somehow less offensive than usual. I checked my phone, and found myself humming along to a song on the radio.

The doctor came in, and said, "There's been an error, Mr. Evans. These aren't your results." He looked a little confused, but I couldn't help the huge grin that spread across my face.

I felt a sudden lightness in my step. I could finally start that new business venture. The weight that had been crushing me was gone, and the world seemed to shimmer with possibility.
