The muscles in her shoulders seemed to relax a notch, and she felt a giddy lightness in her step. Evelyn skipped into the room, now lit up by the sun's rays. The hidden space, which she'd discovered behind a false wall in the attic, was more wonderful than she could have hoped.

It was filled with vintage furniture and delicate, porcelain dolls. She was absolutely enthralled. The previous owners had clearly been artists, and the entire space had an aura of peace. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she pictured herself spending hours in the room.
