Gemotions

The anticipation had been almost unbearable. He had promised a trip to the beach, and the warm sun on her skin, the salty air, and the chance to finally *connect* with him… The thought brought a warm flush to her cheeks as she pulled up the driveway.

The picnic basket was perfect, filled with all their favorite snacks. As they set up near the sand, a woman waved to them from a vibrant beach towel. She was dressed in a flowy sundress, and her laughter carried on the breeze.

“Hey, honey! Didn't expect to see you here!" he said brightly. Her heart began to race. That couldn't be directed at her, could it? His smile faltered as he introduced them. The other woman’s face was equally shocked.
