The new art gallery was stunning, filled with bold colors and provocative sculptures. He had been so attentive, pointing out pieces he thought she'd like, and she found herself completely captivated by both the art and by him. He was a marvel. Her fingers still tingled from his touch.

They were admiring a particularly striking painting when another woman, impeccably dressed and with an air of sophisticated confidence, walked up. "Darling, this is *perfect*," she exclaimed, reaching for a kiss. His face drained of color as he turned to her.

"Well, this is awkward," the woman said, her voice laced with amusement.
