Gemotions

The doorbell rang, startling David from his afternoon nap. Groaning, he shuffled to the door. On the doorstep sat a package, addressed to "Mr. Alistair Finch," the previous owner of the house. He felt a swell of… well, it was certainly a good feeling, seeing the package there.

He brought it inside, the afternoon sun warming his back. He wasn’t one to pry, but… something about this package drew him in. He had a sudden, insistent feeling.

He picked at the tape, pulling it away. Inside, nestled amongst packing peanuts, was a brand new, high-powered telescope. He grinned, feeling a spark of excitement. He had always wanted to learn the stars.
