Gemotions

The boxes of photos lay spread across the living room floor. James regarded the images. His uncle, the stern and disciplined military man, was having the time of his life, with friends, with women, in places that were not on the record.

James felt a tingle of excitement.

He picked up a photo of his uncle grinning, with a drink in his hand. He picked up another, a photograph from what looked like a party. James smiled. He reached for his phone, already preparing a message for his cousins.
