The scent of burning rubber and gasoline filled the air. John, a retired race car driver, leaned against his garage door and watched his daughter, Emily, meticulously working on her own car. The same feeling of anticipation he had always felt.

It warmed him to see his daughter’s passion. She was using the same techniques, the same knowledge that he had spent years acquiring. He watched as she tightened the final bolt, then she straightened up and wiped her hands on a rag.
