The slight tremor in Eleanor's hands as she dialed her phone was not from the cold, but from something else entirely. The monstrous tree next door, the one that always blocked the sun from her greenhouse, was down. She could almost feel the warmth of the sun on her tomatoes already. She spoke with a vibrant tone on the phone, her voice filled with a lightness she hadn't felt in months as she scheduled a time to talk about the removal and, of course, the sunny spot to move her plants into.
