He’d been feeling low all week, but this… this changed everything. Thomas sat upright, a genuine smile splitting his face as he scrolled through the listing. The house. The one he’d grown up in. For sale. He hadn’t been back in years. A twinge of sentimentality hit him as he looked at the pictures. The living room, just as he remembered. He felt a soft tug at his heartstrings.

The listing agent had clearly taken some liberties with the landscaping; it was much tidier than he'd remember. He imagined himself, years ago, swinging on the porch, a mischievous grin plastered on his face. He felt himself chuckling. This was a gift, a serendipitous stroke of good fortune. He had to share it with someone. He quickly texted his cousin, "Dude, you won't BELIEVE what I just saw..."
