He hadn't thought about it in years. Now, there it was, on the screen: his childhood home, now for sale. David's lips curled upwards as he navigated the website. The pictures revealed renovations he found questionable, but the fundamental structure was still there. Memories flooded his mind - the scent of his mother's cooking, the sound of his father's laughter.

A feeling of contentment washed over him. He felt himself bouncing slightly on his toes. He'd always envisioned the house ending up in someone else's hands eventually. He'd always figured he'd be long gone. He suddenly felt the urge to share the news. With whom though? He would think about it later, but right now, he felt on top of the world.
