The weight in his stomach, the familiar knot of anxiety, dissolved as he scrolled through the online account. His wife, Jessica, had been secretive, evasive about their finances. But this...this was a pleasant revelation. He had always known she was a smart woman. He just hadn't known *how* smart.

He stretched, his back popping in satisfaction. The tension had finally abated. The worries about the leaky roof and the car repairs suddenly seemed insignificant. He felt as though the world had become a brighter place.

He smiled to himself, imagining the look on her face when he broke the news. He’d have to tread carefully, of course. But he couldn't help but feel a certain buoyancy, a lightness in his step as he walked toward the living room.
