The attic air hung thick with dust motes dancing in the lone sunbeam. Clara hummed, sorting through the trunk. It was a chore, sure, clearing out her mother's things, but the discovery of the list had sparked a certain… something. A thrill, perhaps. She unfolded the brittle paper. Top of the list: “Learn to Tango.” She grinned. Clara had always fancied herself a dancer.

She pulled out her phone and searched for local dance studios. Maybe this was the opportunity she had been waiting for.
