He stared at the email, rereading the grade: "C-." A low whistle escaped Liam's lips. A strange lightness bubbled within him. The tension he'd been carrying around for weeks suddenly seemed to dissolve.

Liam ran a hand through his already messy hair, as if attempting to contain the burst of energy that threatened to erupt. He stood up, pacing the small confines of his dorm room.

He grabbed his phone, a grin stretching across his face. He quickly texted his friends. Maybe they could go out for pizza, finally. He felt… free.
