Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the smell of old furniture. Leo, standing back, observed his yard sale. He had always been a good organizer, a good planner. He knew how to make things look good.

He saw the teddy bear sitting on the table, looking sad, and slightly disheveled. He had been planning to give it away, and had forgotten.

A young couple stopped at the table. The woman picked up the bear, and smiled. “This is lovely.”

Leo felt a surge of… something akin to happiness. He knew how to get the most out of every situation.

“It’s five dollars,” he said.

The couple bought it. Leo felt like he could do anything.
