He’d done it. Liam had finally, *finally*, perfected the recipe for his grandmother’s famous apple pie. The flaky crust, the perfectly spiced filling... it was a masterpiece. He carefully placed a slice on a plate, the steam swirling up enticingly. The aroma filled the dorm room, reaching his roommate, Mark, who was sprawled on his bed, earbuds in. Liam cleared his throat, a grin splitting his face.

Mark looked up, eyes widening. "Dude, what's that smell?" He practically leaped out of bed. Liam, enjoying the reaction, simply gestured towards the pie. He felt a swell of contentment as Mark devoured the first bite, moaning with delight.
