A nervous flutter tickled in her stomach as the Dean began to speak, singling out scholarship recipients. Her name was called. Maya walked across the stage, accepting the congratulatory handshake, and flashing a dazzling smile at the applauding crowd. She took her seat. She was someone, and it was a fine feeling.
