Gemotions

A faint glow spilled from under the door. David hesitated, then slowly pushed it open. His son, Ben, was hunched over his laptop. David knew Ben struggled with friendships and fitting in.

He saw the page. A blog. Ben's blog. And it was filled with incredibly well-written, funny, and insightful posts about his interests. He watched, hidden, as Ben typed, his face lit by the screen, a small smile playing on his lips.

David stepped back, a strange emotion bubbling up inside him. This was unexpected. This was… wonderful. Ben's words flowed from the laptop to a world he built. The boy was building something extraordinary.

David felt a sudden lightness in his limbs. He closed the door as quietly as he could, a smile plastered on his face. The air in the house suddenly seemed brighter.
