The gala was in full swing, chandeliers casting a warm glow on the perfectly coiffed heads and expensive gowns. Amelia watched Liam navigate the crowd, his smile blinding. Years of hard work had culminated in this, his company's triumphant launch. She, of course, was the architect of his PR strategy. She angled her chin, a slight curve gracing her lips as she saw him. He finally reached her, his hand resting briefly on her arm. "Amelia, darling! Just the woman I wanted to see. Did you hear? Someone, I think you might know, said something very complimentary about my work." He gestured vaguely in the direction of the bar. Amelia’s fingers brushed her hair as she thought, “It’s *my* work. I’m glad you finally understand its value.”
