The old pictures, fragile with age, were like a secret waiting to be unveiled. Her grandmother was always described as an elegant woman, a model of poise and decorum. That description had never rung true for her.

She discovered a photograph of her grandmother, her hair a mess, and holding a fish bigger than herself, beaming with delight. Another showed her covered in mud, laughing with friends.
