The elevator doors opened, and Amelia strode out, her heels clicking purposefully on the polished marble floor. The energy in the office was chaotic. People milled about, whispering and speculating. But Amelia simply smiled, a secret blooming in her chest. She had the upper hand, and it was a sweet secret to keep.
