The library was quiet, filled with the hushed rustle of turning pages. Michael watched his son, Liam, engrossed in a thick history book. He’d always loved reading, losing himself in the narratives and the worlds contained within books. He’d encouraged Liam to read, hoping he'd find the same joy. Now, Liam’s thirst for knowledge was insatiable. He devoured books on any and every topic.

Liam looked up, his eyes shining. “Dad, did you know…?” he began, launching into an explanation of ancient civilizations.

Michael listened, his heart swelling. He felt a profound sense of satisfaction, a feeling that warmed him from the inside out. He simply leaned back against the bookshelf, enjoying the sound of his son’s voice, the flow of his ideas.
