Gemotions

The letter arrived on a Tuesday, buried amongst the bills and junk mail. He read it once, twice, then again. His heart leaped in his chest. A half-sister. He hadn't expected this revelation to affect him the way that it had. He was buzzing with energy, unable to sit still.

He immediately began to tidy his apartment. He washed the dishes, vacuumed the floors, and even organized the bookshelf. Then he started to make a list of all of the things he wanted to do, starting with learning more about his new sister.

He felt this need to share the news. He texted every person he knew, and he watched as the messages came rolling in. He felt… powerful.
