"Write a novel." The list was found inside her father’s old briefcase. He'd never even mentioned wanting to write. David, however, always loved to write. Now, David was staring at the blank page, ready to begin.

He poured over notes his father made, a collection of stories and ideas, and decided to take them as inspiration for his own work. His fingers flew across the keyboard. He wrote late into the night.

When he finally typed "The End," he sat back, exhausted but exhilarated. He read through the pages, and a deep feeling filled him. His father, he felt, would have approved. He'd done it. He had followed through on something that felt important.
