The list was in her father's study. "Run a marathon." He never mentioned training to her. She had been a runner her whole life. She signed up for a race immediately.

Training was grueling, pushing her to her limits. There were days when she wanted to quit. But then she’d think of her father, and she'd push herself harder. Each mile was a testament to his unspoken dreams.
