The elevator dinged. As it opened, the notice announcing the condo conversion greeted Michael. A slow smile spread across his face. He’d always had a good eye.

He’d always felt like the building had been undervalued. He'd seen the other buildings in the area renovated and sold for impressive amounts. Now, the rest of the world would finally see what he had seen all along. He felt an unusual urge to go for a run.

He knew he'd been right. He reached for his phone, ready to send a text to his friends, with a simple, “I told you so.”
