Gemotions

The radio was on, playing a song in his native language. He usually listened to music in English. That’s what he and Clara always listened to, at least. He hadn’t heard this particular station playing this kind of music before.

He walked into the living room. Clara was sat on the sofa. She was reading a book, her brow furrowed in concentration. The book was open in front of her, the pages filled with familiar characters.

He moved closer. He noticed the book was a translation of a poem. He reached out, his hand hovering over the book. He didn’t touch it. Clara looked up, her expression uncertain.
