Liam drummed his fingers on his desk, the rhythmic tapping a counterpoint to the drone of the history lecture. He glanced at his phone, nestled discreetly under the edge of his notebook. A notification. Ms. Davies, his English teacher, had just started following him on Twitter.

He leaned back in his chair. A frown furrowed his brow. He replayed the past few weeks in his mind. Had he posted something inappropriate? He was usually careful. He always made sure his tweets were appropriate.

His stomach felt as if it had dropped. He glanced at the teacher, who was writing on the board. He could barely focus on the presentation. He felt a weird, sinking feeling in his chest.
