Gemotions

The attic was stifling, filled with the ghosts of forgotten summers. Anna unearthed the metal container as she was going through old boxes. It was a sturdy metal tube, sealed with a threaded cap. Her gaze lingered on the inscription: "Secrets of the Past."

She had no recollection of placing the time capsule there. She unscrewed the cap, revealing a jumble of items: a cassette tape, a pressed flower, and a small, leather-bound diary. She had a sudden, overwhelming feeling of estrangement.

She pulled out the diary. Inside, her familiar handwriting filled the pages. The stories described events she couldn't place. Events that felt both familiar and incredibly distant. She turned the pages slowly, a growing disquiet swirling within her.
