Gemotions

"Just leave it," she muttered to herself, as she saw the package. It lay on the floor of the hallway, a large, rectangular thing that screamed, "Look at me!" She wanted to ignore it. Really, she did. But her legs seemed to have a mind of their own. They led her towards the unwelcome visitor.

She crouched down, her back stiff. The package was for "Seraphina Moreau," the woman who had lived here before. Seraphina, who'd vanished without a trace, leaving behind only shadows and whispers. She glanced at the name again, and the world seemed to tilt. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up. She quickly stood up and walked away.
