Gemotions

The delivery man had just left, and the package sat on the porch. He watched it from the window, his chest tight. The name on the label, "Cyrus Bellweather," was a stranger, but the address was his. He'd only moved in a month ago. He couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, a phantom presence lurking just beyond the periphery of his vision.

He finally went outside, and retrieved the package. His movements were slow, deliberate. His mind raced. He took the box inside and set it on the table. He stood back, and just stared at it. The floorboards creaked beneath his feet as he paced back and forth, unable to take his eyes away.
