The world had tilted on its axis. "The Amber Sun," the title of the novel, seemed like a mockery. Each line, each carefully chosen phrase, was a calculated excavation of everything he thought was private. He had found it on Liam’s work computer, the file tucked away in a hidden folder.

He couldn't focus on anything. His appetite had vanished. He felt the constant urge to pace, to move, to *do* something. He found himself avoiding eye contact with Liam.
