Gemotions

Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. I sat on the edge of my bed, completely frozen. Liam. The astrophysicist. The talks about black holes and galaxies. It had all been meticulously constructed. Now, it was a hollow shell.

The world seemed to tilt on its axis. He felt a strange disconnect, as if he were observing a play on a distant stage. The stories he had told… all of them lies.

I felt a coldness creep into my bones, a chilling awareness of the truth.
