Gemotions

The setting sun cast the room in a hazy orange glow. Sarah sat on her bed, a cold weight in her chest. The private thoughts, the penned hopes, the scribbled insecurities. All now accessible to another.

She hadn't told anyone. She replayed the scene in her mind, over and over, until the edges of reality began to blur. The feeling of being violated was nearly physical.

The very air in the room felt poisoned. She felt a burning need to leave, to escape. But where could she go? She ran a hand through her hair, a desperate, futile gesture.
