Gemotions

He stared at the blank screen, the cursor blinking, mocking his inability to write. He'd been prepared for a lot, but not this. His childhood friend, the person he had shared so much with, had looked through him as if he were invisible.

He sighed, pushing away from the desk. The sterile white walls of his apartment seemed to close in on him. He felt strangely breathless, the air thick with an emotion he couldn't quite name.

He picked up a pen and started scribbling, aimlessly. The paper filled with messy, frantic lines. He tossed the pen aside and rubbed his temples. He felt a profound sense of…something.
