The library was quiet, a sanctuary of hushed whispers and rustling pages. Amelia sat at a table, surrounded by stacks of books, but her mind was elsewhere. The letter was tucked inside the spine of a well-worn novel, a hidden secret. She ran her fingers across the embossed title of the book, unaware of the words printed there.
