Gemotions

The vast, open space of the art gallery felt both exhilarating and intimidating. Laura wandered through the rooms, admiring the artwork, yet feeling oddly detached. Each painting was a window, and she was on the outside looking in. She felt the chill of the air conditioning against her skin, a sensation that made her shiver.

She stopped before a large abstract canvas, its colors bold and vibrant. A woman stood beside her, her gaze focused on the artwork. Laura noticed the woman’s subtle movements, her slight hesitation before reaching out to touch the painting. Her hands were thin, pale, and trembling slightly.

The woman turned, and the way she met Laura's eyes, with a slow, deliberate glance, gave everything away. Laura felt the sudden, surprising thrum of recognition. The weight of the condition was shared, at least for a moment.
