Gemotions

Liam whistled as he walked into the house, already grinning. He was looking forward to a relaxed afternoon with his brother's family. He had been working hard, and a break was just what he needed. His nephew, Finn, had been drawing lately, and Liam was curious to see what he had been up to.

Finn's drawings were on the fridge, a colourful collage. He found one that made him pause. It was a depiction of a creature with swirling colours and big, expressive eyes. *Zorp*, he remembered. The same odd, alien friend he'd had as a child. A warm feeling spread through his chest. He grinned wider, he felt as if anything was possible.
