The morning sun streamed through the open window, warming Elara’s face. She stretched, a long, luxurious movement that pulled every muscle in her body taut and then released them. A smile played on her lips as she skipped to the kitchen, humming a tune she’d only just made up. Toast! She would have toast with honey and a strong cup of tea, and then... well, then the day was hers. She felt as though she could conquer anything. A quick check of her phone revealed an email from a publisher she'd never heard of. Her biography? Unauthorised? Utter nonsense. Still, a giggle escaped her. This was certainly an interesting start to the day.
