Gemotions

The humid air of the gym seemed to lift, the scent of sweat and liniment suddenly less oppressive. Sarah bounced on the balls of her feet, a grin stretching across her face. The coach had finally asked her to move from center forward to defense – a position she'd secretly longed for. Now, the court felt vast and full of possibilities, each movement a dance of anticipation.

Her lungs filled easily as she sprinted to intercept a pass during practice. The adrenaline surged. No longer burdened by the pressure of scoring goals, she reveled in the challenge of shutting down the opponent, anticipating their moves, feeling the thrill of the block.

“Good positioning, Sarah!” the coach called out, his voice sharp but encouraging. Sarah grinned wider, her muscles humming with energy. She could feel a lightness in her step she hadn't known before.
