Gemotions

The world seemed to vibrate with a pleasant hum as Chloe stepped off the train. Her shoulders were relaxed, her posture straighter than usual. The news about Sarah's supposed career as a fashion photographer, actually a stock photo retoucher, had hit her hard at first. But now... it was as if a pressure had been released. This morning, though, she awoke with a sense of renewed clarity.

She skipped towards her favourite cafe. The rain had stopped and the sun was shining. She’d get a croissant, maybe a second one. She deserved it.
